Superb program: probably the BEST DVD ripper out there!!
The UPDATE limitation is actually not a great problem since this SW is usually offered for FREE here or elsewhere at least once a month or at worst once every 2 months.
The complain about the warning message concerning the presence of a new UPDATE is simply ridiculous!

installed fine over an old version Win 7 64 bit. One thing i have noticed about the offers from Digiarty Software. They don't let us turn off "check for updates" and sooner or later the software asks to update or it won't function. It happened to me with the old dvd ripper i had and a video converter they offered here. not to happy about that

To #5 Bob O
Based on my own several-year experience, I hardly believe that DVD protection systems are effectively updated and chaged really often and I suspect there is something behind software providers pushing us to update, update – endlessly. Common conviction is that DVD protection systems change almost as often as new viruses occur in the net. But is it true?
Actually, for the last 5 – 6 years I’ve been using a piece of software which has never been updated since its creation and it works perfectly with all DVD discs (not BlueRay of course). The software was created by a small company of professionals oriented more on the community of movie fans than on doing business. The programme was quite popular for a while until the authors were forced to close the business under the pressure of the powerful copyright lobby. (In Poland it is legitimate to make a copy of a DVD you have purchased for home use in order to protect yourself agains damage of the original disc.) The software works under XP and Win7 seamlessly and failed only twice.
So I take all those claims of necessary updates as hoaxes disseminated by software producers for their own sake. I only wonder what that sake is – producer’s promotion only, or something is hidden behind that.
