"Please be noted, Sothink Software honors copyright in any form, and its products do not handle copyrighted materials, like AACS protected Blu-ray discs... there is a bunch of 3rd party decrypting tools that can take care of the decryption process, thus allowing copying and burning tools...
IMHO Sothink needs to re-imagine its marketing on this one...
I can see a yearly subscription for managing the DRM, as like security software that requires constant development. An argument can be made for using subscription licensing when software is continually improving through constant development -- that's Adobe's claim. Simply copying a video Blu-Ray or DVD disc after using some other software for the DRM, which likely already includes a copy feature, just isn't something requiring continual development costs.
Sothink Bluray Copy [should be Blu-Ray] Does Do more than just copy, but my guess is that a visitor to their web site sees the name "Copy", then 1st reads that it won't do DRM, & then they leave. They don't continue reading to find out that Sothink's Blu-Ray copy app can for example also shrink a Blu-Ray video that's over 25GB so it'll fit on a single layer, 25GB blank. Somewhere I think I also saw on their site that it'll do Blu-Ray on DVD, but that's not on the product's main page.
Anyway that's just my advice to the kind developers at Sothink, who have offered various apps over the years via GOTD. Thanks.
That said, visit the videohelp site for links to the AnyDVD HD & DVDFab sites -- you might not find either otherwise -- which are the 2 main sources for software that can handle Blu-Ray DRM nowadays. Sales of DVDFab products are restricted [but not prevented] in the US, while Slysoft, the company that originally developed AnyDVD are no more, though the software has been picked up by someone else. At videohelp you'll also find info & links to apps like the freeware BD Rebuilder, an alternative to today's GOTD that some might find more complicated to use.
