The app isn't a site copier (like HTTrack), and it isn't a link list builder (like Xenu). The software shows all the links (outbound, inbound, external, internal, etc.) of the particular page, so you can view the site structure.

No, it's not :) Site Visualizer crawls the specified website only, without "going outside". But external links would be shown of course (drawn our with a red rectangle on Links table).

Well I would not need such a tool for my own website - my FTP and CMS gives me all of these informations too - but in the case of today's software, you get a structured info about everything belonging to a website.

Basically this is the same as Website copier software (without the content!) like the excellent freeware HTTrack Website Copier or the in my eyes best (paid) MetaProducts Offline Explorer, which I use since years. The Web remembers everything? If it is lost, you'll find it with the Internet Archive Wayback Machine? You won't believe how many sites simply disappear.

Back to the software: A resizable window opens, you can define the starting URL, you can change crawling parameters (ignore robots.txt for example), you can change the user agent...

If you want to make someone else a surprise change the header to

"NSA Illegal Content Checker 2.31a (compatible; Google Search ProHidden)" LOL

Important! On the website crawling settings limit the search depth and define the include URL'S, otherwise you start to crawl the whole web, which takes some time even with a fast connection...

Makes in my test a good impression. The reports are good and understandable, the visual sitemap has (of course) difficulties with large websites, the crawl responses in the report are of real help for webmasters (redirection responses, client error, server error)

If you have ever managed your own websites, this is easy to understand and a real help. For those, who have never seen a website structure, this can be difficult to understand.

In my short test does what it claims, seems to be an excellent software. I'll keep it.

Excellent software today, but obviously very useful only for a narrow circle of people (SEO consultants, webmarketer, webmasters) who are interested in viewing the link structure of a website (including images, CSS and JS script links) or checking for any possible errors (broken links, empty anchors etc...) and duplicate content.

Very handy app for SEO purposes, since it gives you crucial info, about each URL within a site, like meta tags, the number of in-links and external out-links, link anchors and Google PageRank value.

So I found amazing it got a 51% THUMBS UP so far, but maybe this reflects the fact that KARL has decided to keep it in his system (LOL...only joking).

In my test I was worrying the outside links - and stopped the crawler as more and more outside links appeared. So a misunderstanding from my side. And yes, I know, that it is not HTTrack, I explained simply the crawler principle. And for your eyes only : I like this software.

SEO software after loooooooong time! There was only one such offer back in 2009. Since then we have seen countless number of DVD rippers, cute desktop backgrounds and pdf converters. But today...wow...something really useful and real. Thank you!
