This may be way off topic, and may get downvoted, but fortunately such things rarely bother me.
I think slideshows from photos are just not as popular as they once were, but I do a lot of video editing and found a great use for these programs that goes against what they were meant to do. I use a solid white image and transition to a solid black one. I then individually render all of the available transitions I like and use the output as a track mat in my video editing software to increase the number of transitions at my disposal!
Just tossing it out there in case anyone else does video editing and wonders if this program has any more uses than simply making slideshows.

David Jaynes, I only wish I understood your comment! I did read it three times and tried my best. Obviously, I haven't reached that video editing level yet. Glad you took the time to share it, though. I'm sure others benefited.
