For what apears to be the first time ever I received my first SPAM from Giveaway of the day mailer stating:

"Dear user!
We've noticed you were interested in MSD TopDiary. Download the latest version for free now!"

Err I had never heard of MSD TopDiary until this unsolicited email mentioned it! I have NEVER subscribed to GAOTD newsletter always making sure I unticked the option to subscribe so it would be inappropriate for me to use their unsubscribe since I never subscribed AND it is well known that GAOTD don't maintain sufficient unsubscription databases so a single unsubscribe an email from newsletter is known to block all outbound email notifications e.g. comment replies AND personalised download links and license key requests... So rather than unsubscribing the email, the unsubscribe request ADDS the unsubscriber to a do not send any email list rather than properly removing their email from the service they are subscribed to.

The worst kind of tracking is:
Google Analytics, once they install hidden cookies in your system, there is no way that anyone can ever remove them except reformatting the HD drive. Is that is how you are paid, allowing your customers to be in the Google Analytics data base?
Most people have no idea what Google Analytics does and are allowing to be tracked forever, only if they knew that Google Analytics is a spy program connected to deep state departments.

Barney, I suspect you may be being missinformed by some internet conspiracy nuts as Google Analytics cookies are easily avoidable using tracking protection features in IE and other methods in other browsers... any cookie can be deleted as efectively as reformatting a drive and re-installing windows it is no great mystery even flash cookies are scrubbable. I do not permit any website to download the google analytics javascript or jscript files to start with so it cannot generate its urchin cookies or register my machines in its database.

I notice that this installed what looks like two spell checker dictionaries in:

C:\Program Files\MSD_Soft\Shared\Spell\

C:\Program Files\MSD_Soft\Shared\Spell\american.adm
and
C:\Program Files\MSD_Soft\Shared\Spell\spanish.adm

But I cannot find any reference to any spell checking facility in the program or in any of its "Tools" programs and no settings to add or remove custom dictionaries...

This program reminds me of an OLD multi-function database program called LignUp Multi Collector given away many years ago late 2013 I believe was the last time... Currently I think I'll stick with AllMynotes Deluxe edition also a giveaway for my strategic life events journaling needs. It is much tidier and the database not so spread out amongst so many different interelated files just begging for corruption by a program or windows crash whereas AllMyNotes uses a single propietary database format incorporating error recovery redundancy. As well as spell checker which is important for me.
