Once again my 10 Commandments on repairing and optimizing Windows:

1 Don’t overdo optimizing, don’t expect too much from it and don’t trust single-click tools
2 Leave the registry alone
3 Leave satisfactorily working drivers alone, they’re notoriously tricky
4 Prevent apps from starting with the system unnecessarily, but
5 Leave system services alone, they consume negligible resources
6 Cleaning of temporary files only creates temporary space, no performance gains
7 Memory optimizers are snake oil
8 Defragment, but only sparingly, and never SSDs
9 Always make a backup before implementing anything but trivial changes
10 The best optimizing and repair tool is the keyboard. Know what you’re doing.

I had a look at the website and noticed that, if I read it correctly, that you are charged $20 for any fixes done. Does this mean that every time it clears junk files from my PC its going to cost me? This raises a number of questions. Why would I want to pay for this service when I can get similar software for free or for a one off licence fee. Secondly What's to stop this software finding made up faults. Then there is the fact that it want's your Wi-Fi passwords and is cloud based software, bit risky. There is also no mention of how long the "giveaway" is valid for. Call me a sceptic but until these points are clarified I'll pass on today's giveaway.

Tried making a USB version as per the choices given when launching the program installer. Did not succeed. Hope others have more success.

Though logic agrees with kiwi’s assertion that they can’t charge you after the event, the phrases:
“NO RISC – Only Pay $20 After We Fix Your Computer!”
“No Subscriptions – Use us ONLY when you need us. We charge $20 when you say we fixed your computer.”
“Once you validate repairs are successful simply click on the payment option and pay us for our service.”
are literally saying just that.

Carrying on from that, it also seems that all we get here is disabling of the pop-up nagging for payment. But if a nagging pop-up is their only “debt collector”, I wonder how many payments are made anyway.

tomcat, Actually we pop a completion summary screen with payment option then 30 minutes later we pop a screen that says "Did we fix your computer" with options yes, no and check later. If you click yes we pop the payment OPTION. Our feeling is that if your computer was disabled and we make it run that human nature says you will be inclined to pay us. We would rather be a cup half full company... We provide a number of freebie trials for a single computer. Our hope is to FIX and recycle a large number of disabled computers and make some honest cash for over 2 years of development. This is real, most scammers don't have their products digitally signed.

I will try and refine that message about payment..... it is meant to say run for free, if we fix it and you want to please pay.
