This GAOTD is probably the BEST tool out there designed to remove objects (people, text, watermark etc...) from any photo you may run into. I believe that, as matters stand, only the PHOTOSHOP healing tool can beat it, but don't expect wonders like removing an entire building or a whole person from a pictures. In fact, this tool can only remove small objects flawlessly using the surrounding pixels in order to avoid leaving any traces around.

So THUMBS UP from me!

That being said, I recently discovered these three little FREE GEMS (especially the first one) designed for removing imperfections or even unwanted objects from a photo and honestly I was very much impressed by their final performance:

YES...they are all amazingly FREE of charges unlike InPaint!!

So in theory there is no need to pay anything even for this kind of apps!!

Please note that the first tool mentioned above not only is able to remove objects, red eyes and blemishes from your photos with its clone tool, but it can also make animations (flashing buttons, animated forum avatars, filmstrips etc...), create professional logos, buttons and/or web icons, as well as change shapes of your pics with the Shapeshifter tool (Liquify in Photoshop's terms).

So, despite being FREE, looks like more complete that InPaint: do you agree with me folks?

And if you are looking for a more comphensive IMAGE EDITING solution, besides GIMP my recommendation is to use the excellent freeware "Stylepix" (FREE & PORTABLE), ki$$ing your wallet & registry entries goodbye:

I have used this clever program for a few years now having previously used other painting programs (eg photoshop) manually to accomplish the same thing. This does a really good job (most of the time) removing those unsightly blemishes on the landscape that spoil an otherwise idyllic scene.

InPaint Rates 5 Stars!

InPaint is an effective lightweight tool that removes objects from backgrounds. Yes, Photoshop does a better job, but InPaint does it a lot easier and costs a lot less money. And, yes, I use both software, buying InPaint shortly after its last GAOTD.

Well, that sums up InPaint. It is not a full photo editor. It just does one thing and does that one task very well. Oh yah, InPaint installs nicely and works well in Window 7 Pro SP1 x64.

Grab this excellent GAOTD while you can!

This is a program I don't even have to think twice about. I have been receiving this since version 1.0. The program is very good but not a miracle worker. The key to the program is patience. Especially if you are trying to erase a very large portion of your image or erase an object in a very busy background. It is always better to do it little by little in these cases. There are a lot of other programs that do this but I feel this program is one of the better ones. Thank you GAOTD and Teorex.
