Fake software. You cannot turn SD into HD. That would be impossible. Its like you turn Stone into Gold. Unless if they mean that they resizing the sd into hd size which could lead to quality highly loose. No point. Worst software.

Running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit SP1
Downloaded, installed & registered the program with the supplied serial number no any problem(1 thumbs up)
The program is an exact copy of a previous giveaway uRex Video Converter Platinum nothing added or omitted, only difference is the name of the program and skin color.
Like the previous giveaway, this is a good program for novice video users easy to use,but it is not a professional tool... at least from my personal point of view

Missing or untold: smart encoding (i.e. conversion of a MPEG variant to other MPEG variant without encoding once more).

Homepage is informative.
There is also a free variant with (seemingly) less formats (comparison shows "unknow" instead of icon) and without split, cut and adding effects. Somebody told: "Maximum video encoding bit rate of 2500 kbps, low for 720p video. ... Converts video up to 30 fps, a lot of HD video is 60 fps."

And there is a trial version 3.2.0.0, same version as actual giveaway. I therefore presume giveaway is latest version.

Can't try it at the moment, but wonder about synchronization faculties
(not adding audio delay vs video), a common problem with cutting etc. even sometimes met in television spots or news.

Video conversion I can understand if it's from one format to another, but just as with #1 I don't buy that it can convert SD to HD. It's kinda redundant. How can you get a higher quality of SD video without having already made it in HD anyway?

This GAOTD is an excellend HD video converter, especially designed for NOOBS and home users since it has a very clean interface and it's very easy to use!!

What you have to do is simply import video clips (AVI, VOB, FLV, MOV, MKV and 3GP) you want to convert to HD format and then specify the output profile and destination (batch processing supported)...that's it!!

So this tool is definitely a KEEPER if you love watching videos/movies in HD format!!
