Apologies in advance but I have a couple of questions and couldn't find any details on the publisher's website.

I assume the router port forwarding is required simply to "hide" this software's listening port (e.g., port 12345 > 22) from uninvited scanners. However if my ISP blocks unsolicited inbound traffic (like many cable TV offerings) I'm guessing there's no way to make this software work. Just wondering if I've got that right and if anyone has gotten around that before.

Thanks

Many thanks to PCWinsoft for offering a lifetime license (a true software giveaway) for this potentially useful software. (Other software developers: please note!!)

As to whether I intend to download and try, I am looking forward to the comments of other, more knowledgeable, GAOTDers. Specifically, I'd like to know if the problems and shortcomings reported the last time this software was offered (November 2022) have been fixed. See https://www.giveawayoftheday.com/file-sharing-pro-3-4-4-3/

Looking forward to the comments to come.

I'm wondering if this is really secure as I'm opening a port on my router that can allow anyone to find that port using a simple scan for open ports and then gain access to my system. Is there a way to stop unwanted traffic from gaining access?
I'm waiting to know the answer to the above prior to even downloading as I cannot allow unwanted traffic to get on my system.
Thanks!
