The Good
* Has the typical partition management tools (resize, format, delete).
* You can change the letter and name of a partition.
* You can copy a whole hard drive or partition.
* Supports RAID.
* Works on hard disks of upto 2 TB in size.
* You can hide/unhide partitions.
* Has some "error checking" features.
* You can password protect the program.
* Copy dynamic disk feature.
* You can create a bootable disk.
The Bad
* The new "extend NTFS partition without reboot" does not always work... it asks for reboot sometimes.
* Only supports Windows based partition formats (FAT, FAT32, NTFS) - no Linux or Mac.
* The program window always opens up fully maximized.

I have the previous version. Not a problem, served me well.
This new version appaers to be updated specifically for Windows7
users.. So on with the download..
@5: Y'know, I see this kind of comment often for various products, and I've even agreed with it in the past. Then I stopped to think and try to reconcile the two statements, and found that doing so is fairly simple.
You get software from GotD, and you use it strictly for personal use. If during your strictly personal use evaluation, you realize that it would be very useful to you in a business use scenario, then you BUY IT FOR BUSINESS USE.
Where's the disconnect?
#12 (k1): I had the same problem. After a reboot, Partition Master installed just fine (Vista Home Premium 32-bit).
#16 (just passing by): Partition Master recognized the earlier version on my computer and offered to uninstall it first (required), then installed itself smoothly.
I hope this is helpful.
Tools built in Windows 7 will do the same this tool does.
I requested it to shrink my recovery partition and increase system one and all it did - made both partitions unformatted. All attempts to recover data failed. Had to contact laptop vendor and request Recovery DVD drive for reloading my OS.
Interface - is it stolen from Partition Magic or Disk Director? Reminds me of Paragon Partition Manager.
To those who use partitioning tools - be extremely careful with partitioning. It is potentially dangerous operation and often leaves you with no OS and no data. And tool vendor never feels responsible for what its small bomb does. Backup before using it.
