Recover lost database files and data from any storage device.
Today's giveaway (only 5 MB on their official website??) looks like an excellent tool designed to recover lost files even when your PC is totally broken!!
Supports HDDs, USB storage devices, optical disks, memory cards, ZIP disks and many more.
In particular I love its feature to recover files directly from the media rather than from the file system layer, meaning you can retrieve your lost data even from a machine with a damaged file system. In such way you don't need a BOOTABLE DISK to recover lost files, like other similar products out there, should your OS stop working.
For this reason I believe that this GAOTD is better than the other one called "Easy Drive Data Recovery" given away here for FREE just 5 days ago.
Do you agree with me dudes?
3 THUMBS UP from me!!
But 200 BUCKS?? Come on....LOL!!

Freaking awesome Live CD Open Source backup and data disaster recovery software supporting BARE-METAL restore, meaning you can completely restore a system back even on a machine without OS or with its Hard Drives completely erased by a virus.
Yes, you heard me right dudes: this FREE GEM doesn't need Windows or Linux or Mac, since it relies on a complete mini OS with a point-and-click user interface into your PC's memory.
It's even able to automatically search your LAN for drives to backup to or restore from, as well as gain access to the Internet in order to download your drivers or read documentation, even if your PC is totally broken: cool, isn't it?
And besides editing, managing, and resizing partitions, it can also be used to permanently erase all of your personal or business data, before selling or giving your old PC away.
And of course, since it's an Open Source tool released under the GPL, it's s completely FREE both for personal and commercial use.
Just burn the ISO on a CD rom, place it in your CD-ROM drive and reboot your machine and booooom....you are ready to go dudes!!!!
How cool is that, dudes?

- TestDisk (==> Softpedia Editor Pick)
Very powerful multiplatform Open Source data recovery software, which helps you recover lost partitions as well as make non-booting disks bootable again with no hassle.
In short what it does is querying the BIOS or the OS to find out the characteristics of the HDs of your machine, so as to perform a quick check of their structure and then compare it with your Partition Table for any possible entry errors.
If entry errors are found, this magic FREE tool can automatically repair them with ease, enabling you to search for partitions and create a new Partition Table or even a new MBR if necessary, should your system have missing partitions or a completely empty Partition Table. It can also be run even if your machine no longer boots into Windows, since bootable/Live CD are both supported.

Todays pick seems to be a really good tool for all those who tried yesterdays killer-application.
POSITIVE: Seems to be the first time, a chinese company clearly states where the headquarter is. I see no reason to obscure this, other than playing cheap tricks. Also there are no false awards mentioned, like many others do. Seems we can trust the developer this time and try out this piece of software - but sandboxing the unknown is always a wise decision. Data look promising. From the info on their web site I first thought they sell different recovery tools for each media file type. But here above they clearly state more than 400 file extensions and by supporting all major file systems this could become my favorite tool for the future. (Recovery suite from runtime.org is my tool today)
[oops, accidental submit] Meanwhile back at the 'Device List' page...
The 'Filter Options' button opens a Window which lets you select particular files types. It offers no other filtering (size, date, name etc) and only lets you select/deselect all types or 'one per click'. Strangely. there is no use of, e.g image, audio, video, multimedia or document categories. Definite room for improvement here. No hope of being able to store groups of file types/filters for re-use.
File types selected, you're now asked whether you want to scan the whole disk or the partition which you selected earlier. There's definitely a need for better explanation here. I manage to crash the program at least once with 'whole disk'.
You also need to select an output directory at this stage. The program defaults to storing recovered files in a subdirectory of its own folder structure. It doesn't seem possible to set your own preferences permanently. [Operations here seemed rather slow, the browse window left blank for several seconds].
However, in use the program creates a multitude of folders, e.g. MyName.1, MyName.2 etc. Another little quirk.
So, ready to begin restoring?.
It's only when you press the recover button that you discover that the program is now busy recovering files. No building up a list of files and then selecting which ones you actually want to recover for Byclouder. It seems an exceedingly backward approach and you can imagine running out of recovery space very quickly if you didn't set adequate filters [No idea whether you can specify an alternative locatio at that point]. The only advantage of this over some others would seem to be being able to set the program running overnight/weekend without needing to then give the go ahead for the recovery of identified files.
To test the effectiveness of the filters, I deleted some *.mkv files and re-ran the program. It reported the recovery of one *.xml file. Ho, Hum!
Once you've completed a recovery, you can then select files by name, or open the directory which they are in [Didn't always work].
I can't comment on how good the program is at recovering files. From past experience, I know that a lot of old deletions simply aren't worth recovering. There is no indication here as to what choices the program makes in its file recovery. Certainly, the user has almost no useful input into the process.
Regardless of such important considerations, the program falls down badly on its ease of use and customer experience. Several hangs and crashes later, it's apparent that it doesn't always complete the task either.
There is clearly a lot that could be done (or should already have been) to make the application worth buying. The basic 'recover it all now, sort it out later' approach, mitigated only by the even more basic filtering almost certainly needs to be changed before such tinkering will serve any real purpose, however.
Lack of WinPE or at least a Linux boot option is pretty much beside the point here but should also be considered in any upgrade.
Freeware Alternative: Pandora Recovery, a powerful freeware tool that can help you retrieve files and folders that have been lost or deleted from your computer.

Ne kadar işe yarar bilemiyorum ama kurulduğu dizini saklamanız yeterli kayıt dosyasını aynı yerde saklıyor.Registry vs. uğraşmanıza gerek yok
