I downloaded, tested Apeaksoft the last time it was given away. It's very good - easy to use and good quality.

However, it dials home every time you use and creates a log file of what you're doing and uploads that to Apeaksoft. I have a problem with that. You can to some extent overcome this by blocking it using a firewall although you'll get some error messages.

Just so we are all informed, Windows 10 has a built in screen recorder. Windows_key+g brings up the Game dialog which includes a screen and audio recorder. Free. Which is not to say that some may find other products more convenient. But built in and free, is ... free. It does work.

Downloaded, installed, input the name and email address on the website... But until now, no email here to deliver the yearly license. Happen to need a screen recorder to capture some easy tutorials on my laptop, so i’ve tried many programs, including OBS (so complicated for me) and the last recorder giveaway here (Recmaster? if i didn’t remember it wrong). Honestly, this one is as easy as Recmaster. But it provides more video output formats including GIF,and has a standalone screen capture function for taking screenshot. Other settings looks similar except it lacks the game mode and internal video editor (what Recmaster has)...
So why did i fail to get the email? Anything wrong here? I need this giveaway..

Since I just downloaded RecMaster screen recorder from GOTD a couple of days ago, I compared these two.


Firstly, the installation of the Apeaksoft really makes me annoying. It keeps popping up pages and windows from the software. Every time you open it, it pops up pages. In other words, it is not clean as the RecMaster.

Secondly, both of these two do have the feature to record. However, they are different in many ways. Apeaksoft is just a recorder while RecMaster have a few editing functions. I am not a professional user. But I do need some basic functions like custom watermark, cutting, trimming, merging, etc. For Apeaksoft, you have to download other tools which means you have to pay for another software.


Lastly, the customer support really disappointed me. No response for my tech issue. I decide to keep RecMaster and uninstall Apeaksoft
