I'm very familiar with this software product and aquired it a couple of years ago, but after paying for the programe (version 2) found out that it WAS NOT a lifetime purchase but only for version 2. When version three was released I tried to update to find that I could not. To make matters worse once downloading version three, the file became somehow corrupted and I lost my data. All other programes that I have ever paid for are for a lifetime licence but not this one. Otherwise it is a GREAT programe. But this time I will be sticking with the GOTD version as it is likly to last just as long.

BarrysCool, You've purchased lifetime license for version 2.xx, and if you prefer to stay with version 2, it's truly lifetime, it was clearly stated in your license key. We never promised lifetime major upgrades free for life time, what we did promised is that we'll offer an upgrade at no cost if major version will be released within 12 months since purchase (and also there is many other cases when we allow free upgrade). And also we've managed to release no paid updates for over 8 years! Even upgrade from version 1 to 2 was free! Now we've release our first paid upgrade, but the price is low, under $17 (today, thanks to GOTD it's even less that $10)! Compare it to our competitors - Evernote asks $70/year. InfoSelect cost $180/upgrade!

I think I've figured out the activation problem... but found a new apparent dissapointment!

From Help menu I selected "Activation Details"
Then pressed "Select Edition" Button
Then on the New window left Deluxe Edition (paid) ticked put in my name and email address, left rest blank as they were optional and pressed "Request my code"
A window informed me that an email would be sent with my activation details in it and shortly after it arrived with said details.
BUT part of the information was the line:
"Expiration: 02/21/2017 (MM/DD/YYYY)"

Does that mean that this is just 14 days license to deluxe features and not an unlimited license like Vladonai Software have given away in the past?

I have re-read the readme.txt and all it says regarding license activation is:

"Please make sure to run the program at least one time during the Giveaway day for it to connect to the server and get registered automatically."

NO mention of having to navigate to a not too intuative window that implies the Deluxe edition has to be bought even though we can request a free key from the same (paid) labeled selection and have to give a name and working email address for registration and that when the program autofills the name and email address to enter the activation data that the email address it autofills the field with is incorrect and not an exact match to what was typed and used to create the activation code so on first insertion of the activation code it reports invalid name or email address and one has to manually repair the munged email address and then it activates and re-iterates the expirery date of 21st Feb 2017!

After activating using the provided 14 day code it does now say

"AllMyNotes Organizer DELUXE Edition for Giveawayoftheday"

But I suspect that will revert to FREE Edition after 21st Feb 2017 in which case I expect to go back to my previous 2.83 Deluxe Edition that has no expirery date on it!

looks like you have invented your own registration procedure, but as I have already said you just install and run the program. All these steps you describe were not included in readme file because the developer provided this simple procedure and you just need to do nothing else.

The readme file is present with the each giveaway for a reason - to provide the exact registration procedure for each separate giveaway. It provides the registration procedure proposed by the developer and tested on our side.

If you decided to follow the way you think it is supposed to work, it is up to you, but I can't guarantee it will work. The developer provided the clear registration way, you don't need to send and fill any forms.

The provided license is a lifetime but with the usual restrictions (no tech support, upgrades), but there is a discount for those who would like to obtain the version with these options.

Please don't mislead the other users!

I had a license for All My Notes and thought it was an excellent program but it does not have cross platform capability (with Android and IOS) like some competitors. Until it does it can only be second best.

I've used this software for almost a year and it is the best note taking software I've found so far. Highly recommended! However, I recently wrote to the company and complimented him/them on how good I felt the software is and asked a question of him/them to clarify what exactly their version license covers. The response I got was to be insulted. Not the kind of customer service I expected especially after I paid him/them a compliment. Still using the software but now I'm looking at other note organizers just because of the insult.
