I've used Advanced System Care Pro in the past with some good results. But, there are two others apps I like better, Wise Care 365 and Glary Utilities. Their not as heavy hand as Advanced System Care can be at removing things from your computer you want to keep or updates you may not want right now. Some Advice; After you install Advanced, go to the settings and pick what you want the software to do. Many are set by default, allowing it to take over your computer. I'm sure, iObit doesn't mean to be a bad actor by setting it's own defaults, but better safe than sorry.

Interestingly, I find Glary to be a lot worse that it used to be and now one of the more invasive programs of this kind.

Even C*** Cleaner wants to start with the computer by default every time you run it and as you say, ASC does also.
Even System Mechanic used to be reliable but once again, it takes control.
