Concerning licensing, I found this on their website:
From the FAQ:
"For how long can I use the files?
Once you’ve purchased them, they’re yours forever and ever. You can use it in your projects, of course, but you’re not allowed to resell or redistribute purchased deal to a third party."
From the Terms of Use:
"Provided that you are eligible to use the Site, you are granted a limited license to access and use the Site and to download or print a copy of any portion of the Content to which you have properly gained access solely for your personal, non-commercial use. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you in and to the Site, the Content and the Marks."
Not for commercial use? A program to generate imagined or non imagined space scenes would be more interesting. Perhaps there's an Open Source one out there somewhere. Lets search.
chuffin, Probably not quite as imaginative as the Gaotd offering but interesting.

What're the reuse rights? Could I, for example, use these images as backgrounds in commercial games?
CliveBowerman, Apparently not..cannot be used for commercial purposes. " you’re not allowed to resell or redistribute purchased deal to a third party."
I'd email Eldamar Studio just to be 100% sure
What about the license of these pictures? Free to use? Royalty fees?
There is no licence file in zip. Is it available for commercial use?
