The one thing that I like about certain giveaways, is when the authors of their giveaway, give their two cents and help the customers in answering questions pertaining to their giveaway. To me, that shows dedication to their software!

We always learn a lot from talking to our customers or people interested in Heimdal. Since it's a cyber security product, we also find that there are certain barriers to adoption, because it's a field that's not always easy to understand without acquiring a certain amount of knowledge. So that's where we try to come in and help users make the most of Heimdal.

A 6 months license; in contrast some giveaways on cover disks have a full year subscription. So many Antivirus tools out there, but really, everyone says the same on their product page and as soon as you read some reviews your jaw drops on the floor because the testing results vary so much that you don't know in the end if you should buy it or not. To be honest, I tried eset smart security as alternative a while ago and now I'm back and staying with Windows Defender as it will remain free (that's the only point keeping it, if it is secure, I can't say because I'm not expert enough in the field of cyber attacks).

I think I will stay away from testing another AV Tool, that's not to say today's giveaway is bad but I'm just too cozy with my current security setup.
