I want to clarify about the subscription for 1 year.
This limitation ( period 1 year) applies only to the " Account Connection " mode . All other modes and functions (connection by ID or IP-address ) have no limit and you can use them during unlimited period.
Concerning specified competitors (VNC, UltraVNC, TightVNC, RDP). They have no "Account Connection" mode at all. LogMeIn has no File Ttransfer in free mode.
With regard to the aforementioned competitor "TeamViewer", then it is generally used in the " Connecting to ID", which including present and Anyplace Control ( eternal usage ) .

Looks like a pretty GOOD tool: with this software you can transfer files between a local and remote PC, as well as perform other operations such as restart/log off/shutdown a remote PC (it also sports a nice built-in chat module).

So overall it deserves a THUMBS UP!

However, taking into account the update limitation, why not tell us (in the blurb, for instance) what kind of OUTSTANDING (???? ^_^) features this GAOTD can offer when compared to other excellent freeware out there like TEAMVIEWER?

Why Anyplace Control is better is compare with TeamViewer and others?
I write about free GAOTD-version (and I do not write about paid corporate packages with a tons of addons and improvements).
If you use TeamViewer or other similar programs, the most uncomfortable moment is remote user needs to inform you hist ID and password (or IP address, etc). It can be real obstacle in many cases (remote user forgot to inform you ID and leave his PC, or remote password was changed, etc). But this step is not required for Anyplace Control, so remote support process is much more simple and fast.

But similar with competitors, Anyplace Control also has classical modes of connection "By ID and password" and "Connection via IP address".
In other words, Anyplace Control has more connection modes than any other competitor. So its application is more universal and is more easy in some cases.
